FREQUENTLY
ASKED

-
Can LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) be installed over existing tile?Yes, LVP can often be installed over existing tile as long as the surface is flat, stable, and in good condition. In some cases, we may need to apply a skim coat to smooth out grout lines or uneven areas for a proper installation.
-
What should I do to prepare before installation day?We ask that you remove any personal items, valuables, and anything you might need access to during the installation. As for larger furniture—like sofas, beds, and tables—don’t worry, we’ll take care of moving those for you. Just let us know if there’s anything especially fragile or if you have special requests.
-
Can LVP or wood be installed in bathrooms and kitchens?Yes, LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) is a great option for both bathrooms and kitchens. It’s waterproof, durable, and handles moisture and spills with no problem. Wood flooring can work well in kitchens but isn’t ideal for bathrooms due to the high humidity and potential for water damage. If you like the look of wood but want something more moisture-resistant, we recommend going with waterproof LVP or wood-look tile.
-
Do you handle baseboards and transitions?Yes, we install or reinstall baseboards and transition strips as part of the job.
-
Do I need to be home during the installation? It’s not required, but we do recommend that someone is available at the start of the project to confirm details and answer any questions.
-
Do you remove old flooring?Yes, we offer removal of existing flooring as part of the job. We’ll include this in your quote if needed.
-
Is floor preparation included?Yes, we always include floor preparation in the quote. It’s a crucial step to ensure a smooth, long-lasting installation.
